Anxiety
Although anxiety is something that most people experience in some capacity, others can feel debilitated when it starts to interfere with work, school, and relationships. We will work together to unpack the patterns in thinking and behaving that have developed over time, and build a stronger mind-body connection to help you feel more in control and at peace.
Depression
Persistent feelings of sadness, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, feeling like a burden, and low motivation can affect a multitude of areas in your life. I offer a safe space to open up about your current feelings and past experiences. Depression is not a weakness, and together we can help you create a life worth living.
Stress Management
Stress can be a useful part of life, but easily becomes overwhelming without the ability to effectively cope. I can help you build the tools you need to reduce, prevent, and manage reactions to stressful situations instead of feeling paralyzed or suffocated.
Supporting Individuals in Helping Professions
People who work in a helping profession spend their time caring for others, but tend to put their own needs on the back burner. It’s easy to forget that helpers need support too, and self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.
After years of supervising graduate student interns and newly licensed mental health professionals, I broadened my scope from supervision to working therapeutically with a variety of helpers as I believe the work-related stress we experience is unique in many ways. Carving out one-hour each week to work on navigating these personal and professional issues is not selfish, and you do not have to experience burnout and stress in isolation.
